Our demonstrator on the 16th March is Richard Kennedy who is a past member of the Club and regular demonstrator at the club so I can confidently say we are in for a good night. He works a lot with piercing and using gold leaf to decorate. this is the link for the Wizardry in Wood website which gives examples of his work https://wizardryinwood.com/exhibitors/richard-kennedy/
He has in the past given us lots of practical tips to make working in your workshop easier, as an example using a cheap sewing machine remote switch to operate the dust extractor.
I have been working with Carl Burn our webmaster who also manages some of the other Clubs in the area web sites. We are looking to exchanging news and information so you may see an icon entitles RSS appearing on a webpage, if you click on it it will link you to another clubs website. Work in progress.
The cost is £8 for the day and you can either take a packed lunch or pre-book one for £2. Teas and Coffees provided. If you want to order a packed lunch please let me know this week.(01325 301710 [email protected])
Why not speak to some woodturners in your area and share a car.
I have three spare seats, first come, first served
There are at least two lathes being for sale in the club one by Colin Kay and the other by Chris Kelly's widow Alma,
Corona Virus is very much in the news at the moment and as we are all aware that most of us at the club fit in the vulnerable profile. Please can I ask you to be considerate to your fellow members and if you are sneezing/feverish or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with Corona Virus please can you self isolate. We all expect to be treated with consideration!
