Turning North Zoom Meeting
Great to see some new faces (though they are in fact old friends) amongst the regulars at our Monday evening Zoom session.
We had contributions from a number of regulars and some of our "new" faces and some of you have even volunteered to help out at upcoming sessions...though you may not have realised it of course!
We had a great view of the Fluting jig that Ian Forster has made, and work on display from a number of folks including Kevin Purdy, Kevin McAlister, Bill Mooney and a whole range of others...we even let Phil Irons show some of his work, he's not bad for a new turner!!
One question that has come back is about the glitter infill/inlay material that Phil Irons had shown us, several of you have asked where to get hold of it.
The material is available on Amazon(and what isn't these days).
The link I have for it is:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/v1rtus-Glitter-Crystals-Additive-Emulsion/dp/B01MYWZVH8?th=1
and, it is even available in "Barney" pink ...just for Pat!!
The other idea from the session was to help those of you wanting to participate, just send me back your images and then I will show them on screen during the meeting and all you then have to do is to tell folks what they are looking at....what could be simpler!!
So if you haven't tried Zoom yet and fancy a night out with your woodturning mates then come along on Monday, it's easy!
